Selborne Simmons PictureWEST LAFAYETTE – Selborne A. “Buzz” Simmons, 76, of West Lafayette, passed away at his home on Wednesday December 14, 2016.  Buzz was born in Fresno, Ohio on August 23, 1940 to the late Selborne A. and Catherine M. (Hall) Simmons.  He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1958, served in the US Army Reserves from 1961-1966 and retired from General Electric in Coshocton.  In his early years, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball.  He also loved to play golf and spend time with his horses.  Buzz is survived by his two daughters Stacy (Jason Bradford) Guilliams of Coshocton and Shannon (Ty) Postlewaite of West Lafayette; three grandchildren Kylie (Cory) Covic, Morgan (Amber Michael) Guilliams and Helena Postlewaite; two great grandchildren Zoey and Lincoln; two brothers Harry Simmons of Cleveland and Joe (Pam) Simmons of Coshocton; one sister Mary Ellis of Coshocton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special canine companion Annie.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Sis Simmons, Irma Winland and Kink Butler; brothers James and Raymond Simmons.  Per his wishes, a cremation will take place, no calling hours or services will be observed.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton, Ohio  43812.  An online memorial for Buzz is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com .  The Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton is serving the family.
