Senior Center to bring awareness to elder abuse

| June 5, 2019

COSHOCTON – On Tuesday, June 18, the Coshocton Senior Center and Job & Family Services/Adult Protective Services will partner for a day of Elder Abuse Awareness. The event will be at the senior center and will begin at 11 a.m. with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office providing a presentation on “Protecting Seniors from Scams, Exploitation and Abuse”.

Seniors are particularly vulnerable to scams, exploitation and abuse. Learn about the latest scams targeting our senior population and find out how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

We are encouraging everyone to wear purple, which symbolizes the growing problem of elder abuse around the world. The person that gets the most creative with their purple attire will win a gift card. Call the senior center at 740-622-4852 for a lunch reservation and plan to join us.
