Sharon Elizabeth Schlosser
Sharon Elizabeth Schlosser, age 78, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1943, in Coshocton to the late William and Eileen (Henderson) Manning.
After graduating from Coshocton High School, she married Kenneth Schlosser on January 29, 1966. Sharon stayed at home raising her five daughters and then began working at Genie Overhead Door in Baltic before retiring in 2008.
Sharon loved sitting on her back porch. She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives over the years; caring for her plants, putting puzzles together, fishing and traveling with her husband while he drove his semi. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Sharon was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her five daughters, Trudy Shrock of West Lafayette, Sandra (Tom) Green of West Lafayette, Patricia “Trish” Conkle of Coshocton, Tracy (Fiancé Gary Wilson) Evans of North Benton and Karen (John) Barker of Coshocton; two stepsons, Roger (Deidra) Rhode of Greenfield and Keith (Joann) Rhode of Clyde; 13 grandchildren, Jessica (Evan) Guthrie, Gavin Shrock, Darren (Bethany) Green, Kayla (Lucas) Jacobs, Tyler (Lindsey) Conkle, Megan (Darin) Hains, Heather Evans, Sarah (Dean) Morrison, Travis (Kalie) Evans, Kyle Evans, Abbie (Cheavis) Webb, Jonathan Barker and Peyton Barker; 23 great-grandchildren with two on the way; sister, Patricia (Ed) Jerles of Newark; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Manning, Vicki Manning, Beverly McElfresh and Ann Schlosser; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth who passed away on December 15, 1997, step-son, Robert Rhode; three brothers, Tommy Manning, George Manning and Johnny Manning; sister, Joyce Appis and step-dad, Esley (Fuzz) Denny.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
