Sheldon Mencer to perform

CONESVILLE – Sheldon Mencer will be in concert at Conesville United Methodist Church, 196 State St. at the 11 a.m. Sunday, June 15 worship service.

Mencer sings and plays piano, bass and guitar. He travels extensively ministering solo and also with the trio Mencer, White and Cheney. Mencer has written more than 300 songs which have been recorded by a number of well-known artists. He has appeared as a music guest on the former PTL-Heritage USA, TBN-Trinity Broadcasting Network, CTVN-Cornerstone Television Network and many, many more. Mencer’s experience includes but is not limited to church musician, nursing home ministry, youth pastor, worship pastor, associate pastor, music evangelist, evangelist, advocate for the disabled, and missionary to Africa.

In 2008 Sheldon and his wife, Tammy founded Mission 3:16 whose purpose is to provide a refuge for the underprivileged, while meeting their physical, social, spiritual and educational needs. This may be accomplished through the written or spoken word and music and may also include other activities that will further the vision of Mission 3:16.  Currently Mission 3:16 is building a children’s home in Nigeria while supporting a local native pastor. Mission 3:16 supports 28 children currently at Perausad International Christian School. See www.mission316.org for more information.
