Sheriff’s Office Morning Report for Dec. 5, 2015
On Dec. 4, the Sheriff’s Office investigated six accident(s) and five complaint(s).
Accidents
1:57 AM: Kimberly Ashcraft of West Lafayette was traveling east on SR 16 when a deer ran into the path of her vehicle
11:13 AM: Patricia Hughes of Coshocton was pulling into a parking space at 218 Chestnut Street and struck a parked vehicle belonging to Jordan Lusk of Coshocton
3:16 PM: Gavin Jackson of Coshocton was attempting to enter traffic from a parking lot and was struck by Dustin Blair of Coshocton who was unable to get stopped
7:26 PM: The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a subject being struck by a vehicle on S. 6th Street in the area of Clows. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was found that 50 YOA Mark Scott and 22 YOA Matthew Scott were walking along S 6th Street when they were struck by 68 YOA Terry Potter. Mark Scott was transported to CCHM and from there to Genesis Medical Center where he later died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident. Matthew left the scene and was later found and transported to CCMH with minor injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor and the accident remains under investigation at this time.
10:45 PM: Lily Manis of Tallmadge, Ohio struck a deer on Lafayette Township Road 509
10:48 PM: Broch Kutscher of Coshocton backed into a sheriff’s officer cruiser that was parked at the New York Deli on an investigation.
Complaints
4:06 AM: Samuel Stotts of Coshocton reported a very intoxicated male on his porch without permission. Mark Scott of Coshocton was arrested and charged with aggravated disorderly conduct
9:09 AM: While on routine patrol, the litter officer located an illegal dumpsite on CR 271 in Tuscarawas Township
9:36 AM: Mary Lusk of West Lafayette reported a violation of a protection order
10:01 AM: While on routine patrol, the litter officer located an illegal dumpsite on CR 22 in Jefferson Township
4:29 AM: Krista Maust of Coshocton reported the theft of medication.
