On July 7, the Sheriff’s Office investigated one accident(s) and eight complaint(s).
Accidents
11:15 AM: Bryce Philabaum of Coshocton was traveling northbound on SR 83, rounding a curve by the Canal Boat, when he went off the right side of the roadway, striking a fence.
Complaints
2:52 AM: Officers responded to a report of a fire in the parking lot of Hopewell Industries. Once on the scene, it was determined that a flammable substance had been burnt in the alley next to the business, but had extinguished itself prior to the arrival of officers and fire personnel.
7:00 AM: The litter officer investigated an illegal dumpsite on CR 410 near CR 7.
10:04 AM: While on routine patrol, the litter officer located an illegal dumpsite at the intersection of TR 138 and CR 410.
2:28 PM: Katherine Kovar of Coshocton reported the theft of a bicycle.
4:18 PM: Wal-Mart loss prevention reported a shoplifter in the store.
4:43 PM: Jamie Watson of Coshocton reported her residence and garage broken into a several items stolen.
6:12 PM: Wal-Mart loss prevention reported a shoplifter in the store.
9:01 PM: Officers responded to a domestic situation at the Chestnut Crossing Apartment.
