Sheriff’s Office Morning Report for March 28, 2014

On March 27 the Sheriff’s Office investigated one accident and nine complaints.

Accidents

– THE COSHOCTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS IN REFERENCE TO AN ACCIDENT ON SR93 ABOUT A MILE NORTH OF PEARL. UPON ARRIVAL DEPUTIES FOUND THAT 25 YOA CODY A. MALOY OF WEST LAFAYETTE WAS DRIVING HIS 2007 DODGE CALIBER SOUTH BOUND ON SR93. IT APPEARS THAT MR. MALOY WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY SLIGHTLY STRIKING THE GUARDRAIL. THE VEHICLE THEN CONTINUED DOWN THE GUARDRAIL AND THEN THERE WAS A SEPERATION OF THE GUARDRAIL. THE VEHICLE THEN WENT UP ONTO AN OTHER GUARDRAIL END CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FLIP OVER AND ROLL SEVERAL TIMES. MR. MALOY WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE AND WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE BY THE ASSISTANT CORONER. ASSISTING AT THE SCENE WAS COSHOCTON COUNTY SQUAD, BALTIC FIRE DEPATRMENT AND PRINCES WRECKER SERVICE.

Complaints

– CODY SMAILES OF NEWARK, OH REPORTED ITEMS STOLEN FROM HIS VEHICLE.

– DURING ROUTINE PATROL THE LITTER OFFICER LOCATED AN ILLEGAL DUMP SITE ON CR436, IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP.

– DURING ROUTINE PATROL THE LITTER OFFICER LOCATED AN ILLEGAL DUMP SITE ON CR14, IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP.

– JORDON COX OF COSHOCTON REPORTED THE THEFT OF A CELL PHONE.

– PATRICIA WILSON OF COSHOCTON REPORTED THE THEFT OF MEDICATION.

– KAROLE BYERLEY OF COSHOCTON REPORTED SOMEONE ENTERED HER GARAGE. NOTHING WAS REPORTED MISSING BUT THE GARAGE DOOR WAS DAMAGED.

– TINA MCNUTT OF DRESDEN REPORTED HER 14 YOA FOSTER SON WAS BEING UNRULY.

– KEVIN WAKELEY OF COSHOCTON REPORTED THE THEFT OF AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND A GRILL.

– KEITH TARMAN OF COSHOCTON REPORTED SOMEONE ENTERED HIS HOME AND DAMAGED SOME ITEMS.
