On Nov. 2, the Sheriff’s Office investigated three accident(s) and one complaint(s).
Accidents
- EDITH M RYAN OF COSHOCTON WAS NORTH BOUND ON NORTH 6TH STREET WHEN SHE TURNED EAST ONTO CHESTNUT STREET STRIKING ANDREW JOSLIN OF ERIE, PA WHO WAS CROSSING CHESTNUT STREET IN THE CROSSWALK. ANDREW JOSLIN WAS TRANSPORTED TO COSHOCTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR MINOR INJURIES.
- OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A DUMP TRUCK AND BICYCLE ACCIDENT ON SR83 AND CR271. UPON ARRIVAL OF OFFICERS IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT 71 YOA C. NELSON SCHLATTER OF COSHOCTON WAS NORTHBOUND ON CR271 AND WAS CROSSING SR83 AND FAILED TO SEE A DUMP TRUCK THAT WAS WESTBOUND ON SR83. THE DUMP TRUCK WAS DRIVEN BY 69 YOAWILLIAM SMYTHE OF DRESDEN. C. NELSON SCHLATTER WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE. WILLIAM SMYTHE WAS NOT INJURED.
- MARCELLA BLAIR OF MOUNT VERNON OHIO WAS TRAVELING WEST BOUND ON US36 NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF CR27 WHEN SHE STRUCK A DEER.
Complaints
- CITY HALL REPORTED THAT THE WATER DEPARTMENT HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO AND MONEY TAKEN.
