Sheriff’s Office Morning Report for Sept. 6, 2015
On Sept. 5, the Sheriff’s Office investigated three accident(s) and one complaint(s).
Accidents
- JONATHAN LAHNA OF NEWCOMERSTOWN WAS TURNING FROM US36 ONTO CR1A WHEN HE STRUCK KRISTEN KNIGHT OF DUBLIN WHO WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON US36.
- THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVED A 911 CALL IN REFERENCE TO AN ATV ACCIDENT ON TWP RD 179. UPON ARRIVAL OF EMERGENCY PERSONNEL IT WAS FOUND THAT AN ATV HAD ROLLED OVER CAUSING SERIOUS INJURIES TO THE PASSENGER, 50 YOA JODY A JOHNSON. MS. JOHNSON WAS TRANSPORTED TO CCMH THEN FLOWN FROM THERE TO GRANT HOSPITAL IN COLUMBUS. HER CONDITION IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. THE DRIVER OF THE ATV, 56 YOA JAMES CONLEY WAS TRANSPORTED TO CCMH AND RELEASED AFTER TREATMENT OF HIS INJURIES. ALCOHOL IS SUSPECTED AS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IN THIS ACCIDENT. –
- ANTONIA ADDY OF WEST LAFAYETTE WAS BACKING FROM A PARKING SPACE ONTO 3RD STREET WHEN SHE FAILED TO SEE THE VEHICLE OPERATED BY KELLY HUTZEL OF NEWCOMERSTOWN DUE TO LARGE TRUCKS AND BACKED INTO THE VEHICLE
