Sheriff’s Office Report for October 19, 2020

On October 18th, the Sheriff’s Office investigated 1 Accident and 5 Complaints.

Accidents:

  • The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a one vehicle accidents with injury in the 59000 Block of County Road 9. Once deputies arrived on scene, it was found that a motorcycle traveling West on County Road 9 had gone off the right side of the roadway, down a bank. The operator was ejected from the motorcycle. The driver was Russell D. Neal from Newcomerstown. The male was treated by EMS and flown from the scene by MedFlight. Speed and alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation at this time.

Complaints:

  • The Sheriff’s Office responded to the Fox Hole in NewCastle Township for a report of an assault.
  • The Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible accident with injury at the intersection of State Route 541 and State Route 93. Upon investigation, it was found that Ethan A. Gress of West Lafayette had went through the intersection and drove off the side of the road. No injuries or damage were reported. Gress was arrested and charged with one count of OVI.
  • Minnie Duesenberry of Coshocton reported someone broke into their garage overnight and several items were stolen.
  • Kacie Moore of Coshocton reported a violation of a protection order.
  • Mark Parr of Coshocton was cited for speeding, 49MPH in a 35MPH zone.
