Shine your light for firefighters
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation would like communities to thank firefighters for their service on Monday, May 4, in recognition of International Firefighters’ Day by placing a red light bulb on their porches.
Nearly everyone knows a firefighter. They’re our family, friends, and co-workers. They respond to a stranger’s call for help without hesitation and serve with pride and compassion. On May 4, the world celebrates International Firefighters Day. This is a way to say thank you to our firefighters for all that they do to keep our communities safe.
Change your porch light(s) on May 4 and share your #ShineYourLight4Firefighters story on social media as a thank you to all of the firefighters who are on the front lines every day, keeping us safe.
