Shirley Ann Schweitzer

Shirley Ann Schweitzer, 83, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2022. She was born Dec. 20, 1938, to Lela (Norris) Conard and Arthur “Buck” Conard of Coshocton.

She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1958. She is survived by her two children, son Randy (Melanie Quinton) Schweitzer and daughter Andrea (Robert) Smith, and grandson, David Smith, all of Coshocton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Brenda Conard, and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Shirley was a lifelong homemaker and worked at Pretty Products after graduation until she was married. She was a devoted mother, avid bowler, she enjoyed travel and driving adventures, and spending time visiting family and friends. Shirley was a member of the Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church, where she attended as a child and throughout adulthood, and where both of her children were baptized.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, Regina “Jean” Nelson, Betty (Orville) Spring, Richard (Ginger) Conard, Ronald “Ron” Conard, and James “Jim” (Brenda) Conard.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 from 10 a.m. to noon. A funeral service will take place at noon. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s name to Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church, 230 Burt Ave., Coshocton, Ohio 43812, or to the Alzheimer’s Association 8180 Greensboro Drive #400, McLean, Virginia 22102. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
