#SpotCoshocton offers family fun
The Coshocton Visitors Bureau has several unique trails listed on their website to help visitors and local people find all that Coshocton has to offer. Among the choices are the Three Rivers Wine Trail, The Antique and Unique Shopping Trail, geocaching, a quilt barn trail and #SpotCoshocton.
Many of these may not offer much in the way of fun for the younger members of your family, but the #SpotCoshocton option is an amazing, and inexpensive, way to spend an afternoon with the whole family.
The #SpotCoshocton trail shares many special things that Coshocton has to offer and encourages people who visit these places to share a selfie with #SpotCoshocton on their social media. Some pictures may be used on the Visit Coshocton site to encourage tourists to visit and see what they can find.
If you have limited time, Roscoe Village has several of the stops. Snap a picture of your family with the giant cow outside of Medbery Market or with the giant lollipop near Roscoe Village Sweets and Treats. Climb aboard the Caldersburgh Pearl and pretend to navigate the Ohio and Erie Canal. Look for Pooch, the ambassador of the Coshocton Supply Company (with all locally made products), sitting on the bench.
Clary Gardens is a close to Roscoe Village and offers a children’s garden, complete with a butterfly mural. Spread your arms and pretend to be a butterfly as someone snaps a quick picture. Enjoy playing in the children’s garden.
Main Street also has several unique stops on the trail. Try to get a picture of yourself with the clock tower on the court square. Explore the ArtPARK and snap pictures of your children making faces in the mirror sun. Take your favorite book and snap a selfie with the Boy and Books statue at the Coshocton Public Library.
Ask your children what they think makes Coshocton special. Maybe it’s the park where they play ball or a favorite ice cream shop. Snap pictures of your kids enjoying what they love about Coshocton and share those, too, with the #SpotCoshocton. Everything that is shared will show visitors how much there is to enjoy in our beautiful town. For a full list of suggested stops, check out www.visitcoshocton.com.
Visit the small businesses as your snap your selfies and discover the amazing treats they have to offer. From locally made cheese to old fashioned candy, handmade items and delicious food, there truly is something for everyone along the #SpotCoshocton trail.
Editor’s note: Many businesses are just beginning to open up and may have limited hours and occupancy.
