Stanley E. Hardesty

Stanley E. Hardesty, 86, of Coshocton passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on January 10, 1935 to the late Russell and Rachel (Clark) Hardesty.

Stanley was a member of the Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church.  He began working for Steel Ceilings and then moved onto CLOW before retiring. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, being outdoors, and working in the yard. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and taking pictures of them.

Stanley is survived by his wife, of almost 66 years, Kay (Shaver) Hardesty; children Randy (Dixie) Hardesty of Hebron, Shelly Hardesty of Coshocton, Renee (Mark) Appis of Coshocton, and Michael Hardesty of Coshocton; step-daughter Diane Johnson of Streetsboro; grandchildren Tracey Johnson, Shane (Catherine Carrier), Ryan (Leah Neimeister) Appis, and Kelsee (Corey) Saylor; great granddaughter Kammi Saylor; brothers Gordon (Ruth) Hardesty and Roger (Sue) Hardesty.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Marilyn (Clarence) Darr.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00pm at South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating.  The Miller Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the American Diabetes Association or the Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com
