Stephen E. ‘Steve’ Burgess

Stephen E. “Steve” Burgess, 62, of Coshocton passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021.

Steve was born in Loudonville, Ohio on Nov. 20, 1958, to Gene and Ginny (Marks) Burgess. He graduated from Loudonville High School, was a member of New Pointe Community Church in Coshocton and was currently working as a professional salesman for American Coach Sales for over 25 years. Steve served funeral professionals in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and beyond helping funeral directors obtain hearses, limousines, and utility vehicles for their fleets. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, golf, decorating for Christmas and spending time outdoors grilling with his family.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Diane (Gladstone) Burgess; parents, Gene and Ginny Burgess of Loudonville; children, Deric Shroyer of Coshocton, Eric Shroyer of McDonald, PA and Taylor Slaughter of Coshocton; grandchildren, Rowen Whitsell, Knox and Kadence Shroyer; siblings, Mark (Elaine) Burgess of Ashland, Doug (Deb) Burgess of Millersburg, Brett (Becky) Burgess of Loudonville, and Jenny (Randy) Fidler of Double Oak, TX; several nieces and nephews; and his two canine companions, Patches and Tanner.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where funeral services for Steve will begin at 1 p.m. with Aaron Dowell officiating. A cremation will take place after the funeral services.
