Steven Michael ‘Beaver’ Flowers
Steven Michael “Beaver” Flowers, 52, of West Lafayette, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 21, 2021, at Genesis Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1969, in Coshocton County to the late, Steve E. and Ruth Ann Flowers, who survives. Steve was a graduate of River View High School. After graduation he started working with his father and his logging business called Steve Flowers and Son. In 2013 he started his own business with wife, Patti Flowers, called SPK Trucking until it closed in October of 2021.
Steve is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patti” Flowers, whom he married on, April 13, 2002; six children, Trista Laflin, Mark (Nicole) Blackson, Karl and Kyle Blackson and Victoria Taylor; four grandchildren, Travis, Brooklyn, Liam and Huck; two sisters, Kim Romine and Kelly Miller; two sisters-in-law, Debbie and Becki Wilden; one brother, Mike Hatfield; nieces and nephews, Lauren and Matthew Hartmeyer, Britney and Denny Reynolds and Michael (Katie) Hatfield and other nieces and nephews, as well as his 10 beloved dogs, Wee-Wee, Titters, Toby, Turdbird, Sammy Kay, Stumpy, Snickers, Sarge, Trudy and Emilea.
He is preceded in death by parents-in-laws, Paul and Margaret Wilden, brothers-in-law, Don Romine and Terry DeRammelaere and grandparents, Hazel and Charlie Flowers and Richard and Marie Slaughter.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. and on hour prior to the service on Friday. The funeral service will begin on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
