Stolen handguns recovered, several charged
On Feb. 5, deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of South 16th Street in reference to a burglary of a residence. It was determined that seven handguns and ammunition were stolen from the residence. On Feb. 6, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Road Division recovered one of the seven stolen handguns.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Investigations Division was contacted and proceeded with the investigation. During the course of this investigation, the other six handguns were recovered from four separate locations within the County of Coshocton. A total of six adult male suspects were taken into custody as a result of this investigation.

On February 10th 2025, 18-year-old Austin P. Freetage of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Burglary, a 3rd degree Felony.
On February 10th, 2025, 19-year-old Chase M. DeWitt of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a 4th degree Felony.
On February 10th 2025, 20-year-old Hunter P. Darr of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a 4th degree Felony.
On February 10th 2025, 23-year-old Hunter E. Markley of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a 4th degree Felony.
On February 10th 2025, 18-year-old Garren L. McCracken of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a 4th degree Felony.
On February 10th 2025, 18-year-old Dantae Norfleet of Coshocton, Ohio was formally charged with Receiving Stolen Property, a 4th degree Felony.
More charges are anticipated after the review from the Coshocton County Prosecutors Office.
