Sugar Creek Bluegrass concert to be held at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites

| July 14, 2020

For more than 10 years, Three Rivers Bluegrass Shows have been setting up local bluegrass concerts. While some shows have had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 virus, a concert is being planned for Saturday, July 25. Sugar Creek Bluegrass will be the featured band. Opening act is Chestnut Hill.

Duane Hardesty, organizer of the event, said that masks are recommended (and may be required by the date of the concert) and social distancing will be in order.  The venue was changed to Coshocton Village Inn & Suites so social distancing would be easier. He also said that, if guidelines change, the concert may have to be cancelled at the last minute. “We do a monthly show, either in Coshocton or Newcomerstown.”

Sugar Creek Bluegrass got their start at Three Rivers Bluegrass Shows seven years ago. The group is all siblings with the exception of the banjo player, Gabe Stout, from Pataskala. The siblings are Matt, guitar; Molly, bass; Cody, fiddle and tenor banjo; Ben, mandolin, and Abby, Jr. banjo. They have a new CD coming out very soon. (sugarcreekbluegrass.com)

The concert will be at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites. Chestnut Hill will begin at 6 p.m. and Sugar Creek Bluegrass will start at 7 p.m. Admission is a $10 donation for Relay for Life Team Alana. Doors will open at 5 p.m. For more information, go to Three Rivers Bluegrass Shows on Facebook.
