Susan D. Richcreek

| January 19, 2018

CONESVILLE – On January 18, 2018, following a courageous 20 month battle with colon cancer, Susan D. Richcreek received the ultimate healing, and Heaven received a humble and faithful servant.

She was born April 11, 1950 in Logan to the late Paul E. and Vergene (Bumgardner) Cyrus. She was a 1968 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, and volunteered with the children’s dental clinic in Coshocton for many years. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Coshocton.

Susan recently said that given her love for straightening up she believed the Lord called her to be a cleaning lady. No one could dispute her impeccable tidiness, but it was her ability to look past the dirt and grime of life and see the need in every human heart that endeared her to countless people over the years. She loved with the love of Christ and never saw any soul as hopeless or unworthy.  She was, in every sense of the phrase, the hands and feet of the Savior. Susan poured herself into others, often knowing but never caring that she would receive nothing in return. She joyfully gave of herself until there was literally nothing left to give, pouring herself out until the very end.  She walked through the valley of the shadow of death with unwavering faith and never once lost her joy or steadfast belief in the goodness of the Lord. Susan didn’t consider herself in any way special, but those who knew her even a little realize that there are few like her. The impact of her humble life will leave those of us who had the privilege of sharing it with her forever changed. Susan Richcreek- mother, Nana, sister, aunt, friend, cleaning lady- swept her way into our hearts and left our lives a little brighter because we knew her.

She is survived by her children, Aric Richcreek of the home, Allison (Matt) Shupert of Dresden, and Marc A. (Ashley) Richcreek of Granville; seven grandchildren, Molly, Micah, Myles, & Madden Shupert, and Owen, Nora, & Grant Richcreek; a sister, Linda Roahrig of Coshocton; and other family members, Wilma Richcreek of Coshocton, and Cheryl & Steve Nelson of New Albany.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 46621 US 36 Coshocton, OH 43812, with Pastor Dwayne Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22nd at the church. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
