Suspect identified in Royer Chapel arson case

 On June 8, 2020, a structure fire was reported at 50527 Township road 280 Franklin Township, Royer Chapel Church.

After first responders arrived on scene, the fire was quickly put out resulting in fire damage to the inside of the chapel. It was determined that the cause of the fire was arson.

During the investigation, a suspect was identified and is currently incarcerated at the Coshocton County Justice Center being held on unrelated charges. Evidence is being submitted to the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office for arson.

Assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were, Three Rivers fire, Conesville Fire and Coshocton County EMS.
