Suspect in threat at the Meadows apartment arrested

COSHOCTON – On March 16, at 5:55 p.m., a deputy that was working a security detail at the Meadows apartments on Magnolia St. was informed by a female that her ex-boyfriend had broken into her apartment and threatened her with a knife in front of her small children. By the time the deputy arrived at the apartment, the male had fled the scene. After the initial investigation by deputies, detectives were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Later in the evening, detectives located the suspect’s vehicle, and after initiating a traffic stop, they were able to arrest the West Lafayette man without incident.

On March 19, Derrick E. Hill, 21 years old and from the West Lafayette area, was formally charged with aggravated burglary, a felony of the first degree.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
