COSHOCTON – Wear purple to work Friday, June 14, to take a stand against elder abuse.
Elder abuse is becoming a growing problem in the United States. Only about one in five incidents of elder abuse is reported.
In 2012, Ohio received a total of 14,837 reports of elder abuse, neglect or exploitation. More than 40 reports of elder abuse are received each day in Ohio.
