Teen dies in Oxford Township accident

On May 15, 2022 at 3:14 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident on Oxford Twp Rd 256.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel it was found that 18-year-old Timothy Crosby of Warsaw was traveling westbound on Twp Rd 256 in his 1999 Toyota when he lost control while rounding a curve. Crosby then went off the left side of the roadway, into a ditch, then struck an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. Crosby sustained serious injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Dr. Virostko, Coshocton County Coroner.

Two juvenile passengers in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS.

Assisting at the scene was the West Lafayette Fire Dept., Coshocton County EMS, Coshocton County Coroner’s Office, REACT, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
