Teens injured in accident
On Oct. 4th, 2021 at approximately 7:38 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a possible accident with injuries on US 36 just west of SR 60 North.
Upon arrival of the deputies it was determined that a 17-year-old male from Coshocton was driving his father’s 2004 Chevy Silverado. The teen was traveling eastbound on US 36 and went off the right side of the roadway, striking a mail box, telephone box, road sign and a utility pole. The teen then over corrected and came back onto the roadway going left of center then off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree. There was a teen passenger (age 15) inside the vehicle as well. Both teens were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS for minor injuries. The teen driver was cited for fail to control.
Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Walhonding Valley Fire District and Princes Wrecker Service.
