COSHOCTON – Terry W. McInerney, age 69, of Coshocton, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Coshocton on November 12, 1948, to the late John F. and Lurena (Stapler) McInerney.

Terry was a 1967 graduate of Coshocton High School. In 1968, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country proudly until his discharge in 1970. Terry worked for General Electric for 37 years before retiring in 2004. After retiring, Terry worked and maintained the baseball fields for Coshocton Rec for many years.

Terry loved to golf, travel, watch baseball, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, who he adored.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sue; three sons, Bryan (Tanya) McInerney of Hudson, OH, Mark McInerney of Columbus, OH and Travis (Emily) McInerney of Johnstown, OH; seven grandchildren, Adam, Jack, Molly, Sara, Annie, Lucy, and Emma McInerney; siblings, Larry (Sherry) McInerney, Rodney (Terri Albert) McInerney, Julie (Steve) Carnes, Judy (Larry) Smith, Jill (Bob) McFarland, and John (Teri) McInerney; sister and brother-in-laws, Peggy Stevens, Lori Gress, and Jamie (Kelly) McCrea; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Emma McCrea; two brother-in-laws, Ben Stevens and Mike Gress and sister-in-law, Kelly McInerney.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 4:00-7:00pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Dann Eggan officiating.  Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Fresno United Methodist Church or to Community Hospice. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
