There’s still time to help Shoe Sensation aid troops and veterans
COSHOCTON – Shoe Sensation, located at 494 Downtowner Plaza in Coshocton, has announced a program to collect and donate both military approved socks for active duty personnel stationed overseas as well as casual socks for off duty use and local veterans in need.
Through Christmas Eve, Shoe Sensation will offer a 20 percent discount on socks purchased for donation to the Socks for Troops program. While new unworn socks purchased elsewhere may be donated, Shoe Sensation has secured a special selection of military approved socks that meet the requirements for active duty which can be purchased to donate to our active duty troops overseas.
Anyone who has served in the military or worked outdoors in difficult conditions understands the difference dry, clean socks can make. While the military does provide clothing including socks, extra socks are one of the top requests of U.S. personnel overseas.
Shoe Sensation has partnered locally with Jerry Colbert (Bubba) to aid in getting the socks to troops in the field as well providing socks for local veterans in need.
