Thomas A. Geese

FRESNO – Thomas A. “Tom” Geese, 82, of Fresno went to be with his Lord at 1:32 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born August 31, 1930 in Fresno, he was the son of the late Harry Gilbert and Gladys Ione (Thomas) Geese.

Tom was a graduate of Fresno High School and attended Kent State University for 3 ½  years.

He taught Industial Arts at three Coshocton County Schools for seven years. For more than 30 years he was a millwright at Universal Cyclops retiring in 1992.

Tom was an active member of the Fresno Bible Church and other memberships were with the Holmes County Steam and Engine Association, and the Coshocton County Farm Bureau.

Tom’s hobbies were farming, hunting, fishing, and he enjoyed sports on TV.  He will be remembered for his special passion for antique tractors.

He will truly be missed by his wife E. Maxine (Leindecker) Geese who he married June 26, 1954; a son Craig (Debi) Geese of Fresno, a daughter Carol (John) Wartian of Sunbury, NC; three grandchildren Shea (Greg) Bahmer, Tyler Geese, Rachel Wartian; two great-grandchildren Kade Geese, Lucy Bahmer; a sister Mary Beth (Welch) Sprague; several nieces, nephews and a host of family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by an infant grandson Adam Wesley Wartian.

A private service for immediate family will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Fresno Bible Church with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating.  To honor Tom’s request there are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memoriums may be made to the Fresno Bible Church, P. O. Box 67, Fresno, Ohio  43824.  Envelopes are available at the Free Funeral Home and the Fresno Bible Church.
