Thomas Colburn

Thomas Colburn, 86, of Coshocton, passed away at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Tom was born on July 16, 1936 in Cadiz, Ohio to the late Walter and Pearl (Donley) Colburn. On June 9, 1956, he married, Marlene (Meneely) Colburn, who survives. They recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. He worked AEP, formerly Peabody Coal until his retirement. Tom was an ornery one; he loved to gamble and he loved to make others laugh. He enjoyed fishing, taking his grandchildren and even traveling to Canada in his younger years to fish. He was a family man and was always there to support his grandchildren in all their activities.

Along with his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter Deanna (Richard) Murray and son in law, Michael Parsons all of Coshocton; grandchildren, Greg (Susie) Colburn, Jay (Mayme) Colburn, Keri (Brittney) Bolin, Bryan (Katie) Parsons, Kendra (Mike) Parsons, Amanda (Michael) Rearic, Emily (Brian) Rearic, Tanner (Nicole) Shoemaker; 15 great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren as well as four sisters.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters Christy L. Parsons and Cynthia Shoemaker; son Greg Colburn; grandsons, Toby Mizer and Josh Colburn and 3 brothers.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11am to 1pm. A procession will lead to Coshocton County Memory Gardens for a graveside service beginning at 1:30pm with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating.
