Thomas ‘Tom’ Roahrig
Thomas “Tom” Roahrig, 71, of Coshocton passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Morrison Hospice House in Zanesville. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on May 8, 1951 to the late Emmet and June (Sturtz) Roahrig.
Tom graduated from River View high School in 1969. In 1970 he met the love of his life, Peggy (Brewer), at Buckeye Mart and together they have one daughter. He served in the United States National Guard for six years. Tom has worked for Simco Peabody, in the underground strip mine, Broken Arrow, Shaw Barton, River View Local School District as a bus driver, Triple “R” Stables Pony Rides, the Canal Boat, and was a Coshocton County Mounted Deputy. He was also president of the Hot Air Balloon Festival, on the Coshocton County Fair Board and past president of the Warsaw Business Association. He was also involved with the River View FFA Christmas Program.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, horse back riding and being with his friends at the fair. Tom was known for his personality; he was full of life and had the ability to make everyone laugh. He was one of a kind and will be missed greatly.
Tom is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Melissa Roahrig; grandchildren, Kimberlin (Brodie Lanham) Alton and Terrell Fiffer; great-grandchildren, Briar Lanham, Keon Fiffer and Remi Fiffer; brother, Sam (Kathy) Roahrig; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Roahrig.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Cyrus Granger officiating.
