Tree trimmer

| March 21, 2016

tree commissionCOSHOCTON – Steve Fox was one of the Tree Commission members out trimming the trees on Main Street the morning of March 19. Joining him on the project were fellow commission members Ann Miller, Connie Miller, Tom Heading and Jim Marcentile. They were looking for damaged limbs, ones that were interfering or crossing each other and ones that were too close to buildings or could be easily walked into. The city supplied a dump truck, driven by Rob Hudson from the street department, to haul all the branches away. Heading said, spring is a good time to trim trees because you can see which branches are dead and don’t have any buds on them. Fall also is a good time because you can tell where there has been no new growth.
