Trinity Hospital Twin City offers free education for people with diabetes

COSHOCTON—Trinity Hospital Twin City is now accepting registrations for a free diabetes group education series. The group will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Tuesdays, Sept. 22, 29, and Oct. 6, 13, and Nov. 24 at the meeting room in the children’s library area of the Coshocton Public Library, 655 Main St. Coshocton area residents who have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes are encouraged to register soon because space is limited. LuAnn Beavers-Willis, MSN,RN, certified diabetes educator, will lead each diabetes group education meeting. Willis will help participants learn to make healthy choices and live life to the fullest while managing their diabetes. A physician referral is not required to participate, but participants are asked to bring a copy of recent Hemoglobin A1C, lipid profile, and urine microalbumin lab results.

This group education series is being offered through the hospital’s diabetes wellness services program, which is funded in part through a grant from the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration Office of Rural Health Policy.
