Tyler B. Bolen

Tyler Blue Bolen, 37, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

He was born Sept. 29, 1983, in Columbus to the late Richard Dean and Lorena Lynne (Ferrell) Bolen. He was a 2002 graduate of River View High School, and was a member of Conesville United Methodist Church.

Tyler loved bluegrass music and had many musician friends. He collected many instruments, including banjos, fiddles, mandolins, autoharps, and guitars. He was known for his sharp memory and he enjoyed telling jokes and stories. Tyler had been ill for over nine months, battling wounds and other sickness, but now he is free of pain and suffers no more.

He is survived by his grandmother, Joanie (Larry) Mikesell of Coshocton; and his dog, Josie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob & Edith Bolen; and great-grandparents, George & Lillian Slaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Calkins officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the funeral home, as well as prior to service time on Friday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
