Uhrichsville man issued citation for accident

On March 5, 2021 at approximately 11:28 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising of a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of US RT 36 and SR 93 in Lafayette Township.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that a 2016 Honda Civic being driven by Spencer Andrews, 22-years-old, of Uhrichsville, was traveling eastbound on US 36. Andrews failed to stop at a red light and struck a 2010 Subaru SUV operated by Erica Charles, 24-years-old from Gambier. Charles and her young child were transported to CRMC by Coshocton County EMS with unknown injuries, but those injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Brandon Abel, a passenger in Charles’ vehicle was also transported to CRMC by a private party.

Andrews was issued a citation for failing to obey a traffic control device and for driving on a suspended license.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department, and Princes Wrecker Service.
