United Way opens Community Impact Grant process
The United Way Board is opening up its Community Impact Grant Process to local non-profit programs who feel their program would fit into one of the pillars of focus, health, education or financial stability.
An application can be found at www.coshoctonunitedway.org. Applications are due by Thursday, June 30 to be considered and should be emailed to director@coshoctonunitedway.org.
Grants of up to $5,000 will be distributed. This fund was started in 2017 to ensure that the reach and impact of the United Way of Coshocton could evolve with the changing needs here in Coshocton. Over the past four years, more than $70,000 has been given to local programs such as Friends of the Drug Court, CBHC, Moving Mountains Ranch, and Ohio Buckles Program.
The United Way of Coshocton is locally governed and board members are tasked with keeping up with changes in Coshocton, the needs of Coshocton and working with other local programs to grow the health and resiliency of Coshocton residents. Lyn Mizer director said, “It is refreshing when local citizens can decide where donations are best spent to make sure the best outcome is achieved. The board consists of a broad spectrum of people who have different perspectives but collectively come to an understanding of how best to help our neighbors in need.”
If you have any questions about the application, call the United Way office at 740-622-4567.
