Update in Third Street drug raid
COSHOCTON – On July 19 at approximately 5:50 a.m., detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 200 block of N. 3rd St. in Coshocton.
As a result of this search warrant, a large amount of prescription drugs, illicit drugs, drug related items and cash were seized. Nine adults, three females and six males were initially taken into custody. After the initial investigation, six adults, three females and two males, were released.
On July 20, eight more adults, four males and four females, were taken into custody as a result of this continuing investigation. Five people, three females and two males, were later released pending this on-going investigation.
On July 21, the six remaining inmates were formally charged.
From the July 19 incident:
Maurice L. Bell, 55 years old and from the Coshocton area, Roy L. Williams, 38 year old male from the Coshocton area, and Malcom J. Hunter, 28 years old and from the Columbus area, were all charged with Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the Third Degree.
From the July 20 incident:
Dominique R. Eison, 26 year old male from the Coshocton area, Bo A. Mercer, 30 year old male from the Coshocton area, and Tessa K. Ayers, 30 year old female from the Coshocton area, were all charged with Tampering with Evidence, a Felony of the Third Degree.
Assisting the detectives were members of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) and The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.
This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
