Vesta M. (Adkins) Norris
Vesta M. (Adkins) Norris, 91 of Coshocton passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday February 18, 2025.
Vesta was born in Pedro, OH on January 25, 1934 to the late Floyd Adkins and Lenora (Evans) Adkins, Simmons Berkey.
After graduating from Coshocton High School in 1951 Vesta married Dale W. Norris on July 13, 1952 at Calvary Methodist Church of Coshocton.
While living in Coshocton Vesta spent many years self-employed as a restaurant owner and caterer and later worked for San Juan Regional Hospital in Farmington, NM and retired from Presbyterian Medical Services of New Mexico.
Vesta’s favorite hobby was quilting.
Mrs. Norris is survived by 5 children, Steven of Coshocton, Rebecca of Coshocton, Daniel (Susan) of Milton, WV, Lisa Moeller (Phillip) of Abilene, TX and Edwin of Coshocton, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband Dale of 68 years, a brother Ronald Adkins, a sister Mary Yake and a half-brother Tommy Simmons.
Vesta was a member of Park / Grace United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
A private burial will take place at Franklin Grange Cemetery. The family is being attended by Miller Funeral Home and Pastor Deb Quillen.
