Violet June Kiser
Violet June Kiser age 88 of West Lafayette, Ohio died February 24, 2017 at the Coshocton Memorial Hospital emergency room after a sudden illness.
She was born June 6, 1928 in Coshocton, Ohio and was the daughter of Albert and Mary Ellen (Newell) Countryman. On July 9, 1946 she married William J. Kiser and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1979. She worked at Shaw-Barton Inc. and later she was a bar tender. She was a member of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1330, American Legion Post #65 and the Am-Vets.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross 245 North 4th Street Coshocton, Ohio 43812, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday February 28, 2017 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will be at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens, Coshocton, Ohio. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are one daughter Nancy (Michael) Carroll of South Carolina;11 grandchildren Deb (Ron) Untied, Linda (Zach) Strange, Bill (Chris) Ryf, Matt (Crystal) Kiser, Corey Caley, Jay (Apryll) Kiser, Sam Kiser, Duane (Elsie) Mast, Mary Jane Sandrock, Donna (Jamie) Prince, and Bill (Kelly) Gates; 40 great grandchildren;25 great-great grandchildren; one sister Daisy Cornelius of Uhrichsville, Ohio; a brother David (Hazel) Countryman of Coshocton, Ohio.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 4 children Allen Kiser, Patricia Jane Gates, Margaret May Johnson, William J. Kiser; 1 granddaughter Marella May Baker; three sisters Gladys McKnight, Virginia Powell and Sandy Pettit; 2 brothers Richard Countryman and William Countryman.
