Virginia Lee (Zinkon) Guthrie
Virginia Lee (Zinkon) Guthrie, 83, died Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.
She was born November 22, 1938 in Bakersville to the late Lester and Mary (Miller) Zinkon.
Virginia attended West Lafayette school and went on to marry her beloved husband of 65 years, James Guthrie on August 24, 1957. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Coshocton and truly loved the Lord.
Virginia worked at the former Indianapolis Glove Factory and over 35 years at the former Shaw Barton Co.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was called “Nana,” and Nana loved watching the grandchildren and now great grandchildren playing sports. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing cards and bingo.
Virginia was a loving and friendly person who never met a stranger. She loved Christmas time and made sure everyone had great gifts. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, James. A daughter, Jackie (Larry) Domer and a son, Richard (Susan) Guthrie. Grandchildren, Lelise (Jimmy) Dulgar, Amy (Mike) Fauble & Michael (Patty) Tidrick. Great grandchildren, Cassie & Kayla Dulgar, Braeden & Jaelynn Fauble, and Jace & Brenley Tidrick. A great-great-grandson, Wyatt Tidrick. A sister, Cindy Spang and a sister-in-law, Linda Zinkon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Bair, sisters, Shirley Day & Janice Wilden, and brothers, Eugene & Paul Zinkon
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Andy Bird officiating. Burial followed in the Canal Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday from 11:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
