Walhonding Valley Community Day set

WARSAW – On Saturday, June 20, the Walhonding Valley Fire district will hold its annual Community Day / Ice Cream Social. All members of the public are encouraged to come out and join in the activities and fun.

The Walhonding Valley Fire District will be demonstrating different rescue techniques and equipment that they utilize to accomplish these feats. Demonstrations will include a rope rescue, Medflight rescue, grain bin rescue, and a vehicle extraction. Spectators are sure to be entertained and intrigued with the re-creations and rescue demonstrations that will be displayed. Hot dogs and chips will also be offered to the public.

The event is located at the fire station in Warsaw and will run from 11 am until 3 p.m. The Walhonding Valley Historical Society’s Open House will also be held at the same time.
