Wanda F. McFarland
COSHOCTON – Wanda Faye (Whyde) McFarland 85, of Signature Health Care Center Coshocton, died Saturday, June 3, 2017.
She was born August 3, 1931 in Frazeysburg to the late Jay Austin and Gladys (Lindell) Whyde. She married Milton C. McFarland on July 1, 1951, who preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 2013.
She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she served as Deacon and Elder, and very active in the Presbyterian Women group. She was a former member and past president of the Warsaw Lioness Club. She enjoyed crocheting, volunteering at her church, and vacationing with her sisters and late husband Milton.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles A. (Nancy M.) McFarland of Coshocton, and Robert E. (Jillene R.) McFarland of Charleston, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Robert (Tara) McFarland, Dani McFarland, TJ (Korie) McFarland, Jared (Hope) McFarland and Kevin McFarland; seven great grandchildren, Kameron, Tristen, Kylee, Alexie, Logan, Brant and Gauge; a sister Betty Salvage of Coshocton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters Golda Whyde, Hazel Cochran, and Jane Mascotti.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 in the Custer Chapel at the Coshocton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jonathan Carlisle officiating. Private burial will take place at the Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw on Tuesday. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
