Wanted fugitives arrested

MOHAVE CONUTY, AZ – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives arrested Robert Roy Clark, 29, of Dennison, Ohio and Tabatha Marie Hazel, 26, of Canton, Ohio for felony warrants. On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received an attempt to locate from the FBI of a 2003 Dodge Caravan occupied by three subjects who were wanted for homicide and armed robbery charges out of Ohio.

Deputies located the vehicle in the area of Interstate 40 near milepost 55 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Department of Transportation assisted in the incident. The suspect vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Deputies followed the suspect vehicle into Kingman to north Stockton Hill Road near Quail Crest Road. The suspect’s vehicle turned onto a dirt road where it became disabled. The suspects fled on foot. A short time later, deputies located Clark and Hazel in the area. A third suspect, identified as Jeffrey Caley Jr. remains outstanding. The sheriff’s office is actively conducting an air and ground search.

During the incident, a brush fire ignited which subsequently caused three law enforcement vehicles to catch fire.
