Ward Newton Savage
Ward Newton Savage, age 92, went to be with the Lord, his Savior, on November 14, 2022, in Harrison, Ohio.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 17th, 2022 from 6-8 P.M at The Salvation Army, 219 N 4th St, Coshocton, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 18, 2022, at The Salvation Army, Coshocton with Major Timothy Sheehan officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
Ward was born June 1, 1930, in Adamsville, Ohio to the late William F. and Hilda A. (Shroyer) Savage.
Ward lived in Coshocton until 1994 and has always considered it his home. His passion for Christ, his family, and his hard work were paramount throughout his life. He loved tractors and enjoyed the Coshocton County Fair. He also enjoyed his many friends, and coffee buddies, and enjoyed his daily walks.
He was married to Lois Joan (Jeffries) Savage for 46 years and they raised their 6 children together in Coshocton until her death in 1996. They had 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
He married Linda Susan Savage on September 19, 1998, and moved to Harrison, Ohio. 3 daughters and a grandson, whom he greatly influenced, were added to his family.
In addition to his wife Linda, Ward is survived by his children Linda (Joe) Grau, Michael (Linda) Savage, Jeffrey (Judy) Savage, Karen (Leonard) Boynton, Dr. Randy (Gretchen) Savage, Constance (Timothy) Higgins, Rebecca Cifers Spahni, Christy L. Cifers, and Victoria M. Cifers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Wayne Savage.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Salvation Army Coshocton Corps or The Salvation Army Center Hill Corps.
