Warsaw Alumni offering scholarships
The Warsaw Alumni Association is offering scholarships to 20224 River View graduating seniors who attended Warsaw Elementary School.
These scholarships will be $500 to $2,500 depending on money contributed to the scholarship program. These awards are made available through donations by WHS graduates, teachers, friends of Warsaw High School, and the community. Past awards have been made from the Warsaw Alumni Association, the Clodaugh Brenneman Cline Scholarship, the Lawrence Memorial Scholarship, the Davis Educational Grant, the Conrad Family Memorial Scholarship, the Dwight Fesler Memorial Scholarship, Stephen S. Scruggs Scholarship, and the Buxton Memorial Award. In the past several families of the community and the honor classes also donated additional scholarships which will be offered if they become available. The purpose of these awards is to encourage graduates to pursue some type of higher education.
Persons desiring to donate to this scholarship program should contact Jim Lawrence at 740-502-0603. Checks or money orders should be made out to the Warsaw Alumni Scholarship Fund and mailed to Lawrence at 43334 US Hwy 36, Coshocton, OH 43812.
Applications for these awards are available from Cindy Hemming who is coordinating scholarship applications at River View High School. They also are available from Jim Lawrence, chairperson of the scholarship program at 740-502-0603. The application deadline is Friday, March 29.
The Cline Scholarship is coordinated through the Coshocton Foundation and is available online.
