Water activities a hit at freedom festival
COSHOCTON – The baby pool full of water balloons was a big hit with 8-year-old Carter Donley and several other children who attended the Freedom Festival held July 19 at Hopewell Industries Inc.
”We do this to celebrate the independence, freedom and abilities of people with disabilities,” said Bambi Zinkon, an advocate with the County Board of Developmental Disabilities. “This is also an opportunity for us to involve the community and show them that our clients want to be valued just like them.”
The event, organized by Raise Your Voice, a group of people with disabilities who are self-advocates included games, food, guest speakers and more.
