Weekend accidents reported

On May 1,  at approximately 10:21 p.m. dispatch received a 911 call in reference to an ATV accident with injuries. The accident was determined to have occurred in Muskingum County.

Ross Quillen of Newcomerstown was injured in the accident and taken by witnesses to 201 Commercial Ave in Plainfield where he was treated and transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by EMS. The condition of Quillen was unknown at the time of the release.

Also assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS.

On May 2, at approximately 4:40 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call involving a single motor vehicle accident with injuries on SR 541 near Township Road 51 in Bedford Township.

Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that 28-year-old Robert Tompkins of Zanesville was traveling eastbound on SR 541 at the intersection of Township Road 51 when he went off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Tompkins reported no injuries and declined medical attention.

Assisting at the scene was the Walhonding Valley Fire Department and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
