West Lafayette Police Department Report for July 09, 2019

On July 08, the police department investigated the following calls.

A resident in the 600 block of Plainfield Road reported a theft.

 

Officer responded to a vehicle crash with injury in the 500 block of East Main Street.  Upon investigation, Jerry Dotson, of West Lafayette was traveling west bound when he became distracted from a situation inside the vehicle.  Dotson failed to maintain his marked lane and went left of center, striking a vehicle being operated by Roger Smith, of West Lafayette which was traveling east bound.  That impact caused the Smith vehicle to strike a third parked and unoccupied vehicle owned by Ralph Searle, of Gnadenhutten

 

A resident in the 300 block of East Main Street reported an unwanted person.

 

Officers responded, with multiple fire departments and Coshocton County EMS, to a structure fire in the 300 block of West Main Street.  REACT, and the Red Cross also responded.
