William D. ‘Bill’ Roof
William D. “Bill” Roof, 71of Coshocton passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Friday April 15, 2022, one day shy of his 72nd birthday.
Billy was a proud citizen of Coshocton and Dover. He spent his days visiting his friends at the fire station and socializing with people in the town square. Billy was an avid supporter of Coshocton and Dover sports. You could find him on Friday night in the front row cheering on his team. He loved rooting on the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers as well as a big fan of NASCAR and golf. His proudest accomplishment was being an uncle.
Bill was born on April 16, 1950, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Harold and Bonnie (Bible) Roof.
He is survived by his brothers John (Betsy) Roof, David (Patty) Roof, and his sister, Karen (Todd) Maxwell; several nieces and nephews including Shanna O’Meara, Broc Wilson, Cody Shanklin, Tessie Moon, Russell Roof, Jennifer Partin, Jessica Stotts, John Russell Roof, Jamie Maxwell and several great nieces and nephews including Stella O’Meara and Penelope Moon.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday April 20, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where funeral services for Bill will begin at 12:00 PM Noon with Pastor Mike Walters officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
