William F. “Bill” Ishmael
William F. “Bill” Ishmael, 89, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday January 4, 2024, in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Bill was born in Coshocton on September 19, 1934, to the late John Ishmael and Mary (Selders) Shearn. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and retired from Ansell-Edmont Manufacturing Company after 35 years of employment. Bill was a member of Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church and Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church of Chester, SC. He was quite a handyman and enjoyed doing house remodeling and repairs for his neighbors, along with woodworking in his shop after retirement.
He is survived by his wife Martha K. Ishmael; son William C. “Chuck” (Cindy) Ishmael of Coshocton; daughter Chris (Clayton) King of Warsaw; grandchildren Christopher and Jonathon Ishmael and Anna King; great grandchildren Ava and Freya King; three stepchildren Aarron (Brandi) Tipton of Coshocton, Debbie (Brian) Umstott of Zanesville and Heather Shriver of Coshocton; one sister Charlene Shaw of Greenville, SC; twenty step-grandchildren; sixteen step-greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather William Shearn; two brothers John and Bob Ishmael.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral services for Bill will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Matt Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery where Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors.
