Willie ‘Bill’ Lee Dunn

FRESNO – Willie “Bill” Lee Dunn, age 79, of Fresno, passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Bill was born in Hickory Grove, Mississippi on May 15, 1939 to the late Thomas Taylor and Mildred Grace (Lott) Dunn. In 1957, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until he was honorably discharged in 1960. During his service in the Navy, Bill was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Bill worked as a truck driver for many years for various companies through the Teamsters union. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. Bill loved being outside, taking care of his garden and mowing his lawn. In 2002, he married Betty Ann Fleming, who survives.

Along with his wife, Bill is survived by two children, one stepson, Kevin, three step-grandchildren: Justin, Randy, and Rachel; seven siblings: Thomas, Barbara, James, Lloyd, Benford, Ruth, and Robert; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie and Kathy, and aunt, Opal.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Chili Crossroads Bible Church in Fresno at 11 a.m. with Pastor Neil Dearyan officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown. Calling hours will be held at the church on Tuesday prior to the funeral service from 10-11 a.m.
