Youngsters get practice showing hogs

| October 3, 2019

COSHOCTON – Edyn Dickson showed a hog Wednesday evening, Oct. 2, at the fair with the help of her aunt Grace Dickson. The event they were competing in during the open class market hog show was designed to give youngsters the chance to see what it is like to be in the show ring. “You all did really well,” said Mitch Dugan, one of the judges for the show. “It takes a lot of courage to get out in front of a crowd and do this.” He is from Gambier and currently works for Shipley Swine Genetics. “I appreciate the fairboard putting this on for the kids and giving them a place to get started.”
